Conference Purpose and Code of Conduct

Young adult conferences have the purpose to help participants come to Christ by strengthening their personal relationships with Him and with others. Conferences help them understand the importance of making and keeping sacred covenants, serving one another, and coming together as “fellowcitizens with the saints” (Ephesians 2:19). The conference program supports these goals and helps build testimony, strengthen individuals, foster unity, personal growth, and a sense of belonging.

Your contribution is essential to achieve these goals. The success of the conference also depends on your personal attitude and your desire to seek and find Jesus Christ.

Creating an environment where the Spirit of the Lord can dwell requires making choices that allow you to hear His voice. Attending conferences does not require personal worthiness; however, it does require a personal commitment to a few simple principles.

By registering at this conference, you agree to abide by certain standards. Specifically, you agree to:

1. Do not participate in or encourage any type of immoral behavior, including disobedience to the law of chastity or viewing pornographic material in any form.

2. Do not shoplift, steal or commit acts of vandalism of any kind.

3. Do not transgress the Word of Wisdom, including smoking or possession of illegal substances.

4. Do not carry any type of bladed weapon or firearm.

5. Do not harm yourself or others, physically or spiritually; including bullying.

Additionally, for an uplifting experience for all, we encourage you to use language, conversation, and behavior that fosters the Spirit, including modest dress. Clothing should not reveal body parts or undergarments. Modest dress helps create a supportive environment for all participants.

We would like to remind you that participation in Young Adult conferences is not a right but an opportunity. Failure to follow these simple principles may result in termination of your participation in the conference and return home.
