Principle 3

Inviting all to receive the gospel includes:

  • Participating in missionary work and serving as missionaries.
  • Helping new and returning church members progress along the covenant path.

Member missionary work will be most effective when the Rising Generation of youth, missionaries, young adults work together. The Rising Generation can set the example by finding and preparing individuals and families for the missionaries to teach.

The Rising Generation strive to continually help less-active members return to Church activity. The Saviour said, “Unto such shall ye continue to minister; for ye know not but what they will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I shall heal them: and ye shall be the means of bringing salvation unto them” (3 Nephi 18:32).

Service can play an Important role in sharing the gospel and activation. Elder Uchtdorf shared three invitations – “Come and see; Come and help; Come and stay”. The guiding principles in inviting all to receive the gospel are love, share, invite.

The Rising Generation can reach out to less active Rising Generation members, focusing on those members who are most likely to respond to invitations to return. They often need love, sincere care, and friendship.

Being a friend

Serving together with others will make it easier and more natural to share the gospel. There are over 30,000 active Rising Generation members in Europe. That is ten times the number of full-time-missionaries. YA want to be working online, answering questions, working with their former missions and building Zion. We are stronger together: connected and united.

Connecting & Uniting
“

The Rising Generation want others to feel the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They will serve the community and others by sharing their time, Church resources, and personal experiences. They will invite friends to come and help. Many will respond to an invitation to 'server'. Hearts will change and they will enquire to know more.
